About Mrs. Susan Hall...
Position: 3rd Grade - Mandarin DLI
Hello! I have been teaching at Tarwater since 2001. I feel very lucky to be a part of Tarwater School. It's a wonderful place to work. Tarwater parents and teachers are very supportive and positive. We work together to help each child be a successful learner. I love teaching third grade and look forward to having a fabulous year. I currently live in Chandler with my wonderful husband, two beautiful daughters and two handsome sons. My husband and I are both AZ natives and huge ASU fans!
My Education and Professional Background
I earned my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from Arizona State University in 2000. I completed my Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University in 2004. I started teaching in 2001. All of my years of teaching have been at Tarwater Elementary, and I feel blessed for that. I have taught first, second and third grade.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe the role of a teacher is to establish an environment to enrich all student's learning and promote students to love learning and want to become life long learners. I feel there are many components that will help the teacher's role be more effective and successful. These components are getting the students excited about learning, promoting parent involvement and having good communication with both the student and parent.
