    Welcome!

    Hello and welcome!! My name is Grace Zhou (pronounced Joe), and I am absolutely thrilled to be your child's Second Grade Mandarin teacher this year. I cannot wait to get to know your child this year and begin our adventures in Second Grade! It's going to be a spectacular year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    This year is my 17th year of teaching and my 7th year in the Tarwater DLI program. I was a specials teacher at Knox Gifted Academy before I came to Tarwater, and I love being a teacher in the Toro Family! I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and two Bachelor's Degrees in Accounting and Economic Management from Grand Canyon University.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Through my 17 years of teaching, I have learned that students learn best while having fun. Confucius once said: "Teach a student according to each one's learning ability." I believe that every child is gifted; they simply unwrap their gifts at different times. My mission is to help your students unwrap their gifts.
