    Welcome!

    My name is Rick Camarillo. Before becoming a teacher, I worked for several community jobs in various capacities. I have had experiences in teaching fifth and sixth grades. I began my teaching career in the state of Utah with teaching 5th grade. This is my first year at Tarwater and I must admit I’ve enjoyed the warm welcome from all of the staff, students, and families that I’ve encountered here. I'm very thrilled to be a part of a great community here at Tarwater Elementary.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own educational experience. I will guide my students to express and accept themselves for who they are, as well embrace the differences of others. I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I look forward to guide these amazing learners to achieve their full potential and a path to success.
