About Ms. Nikole Bohn...
Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Nikole Bohn and I am very excited to be your child's third grade teacher this year. This is my twelfth year teaching and my tenth year teaching third grade. Third grade is a critical year for students as they are no longer learning to read but reading to learn. Mrs. Shao and I are partner teachers in the DLI program, and we have high expectations for all our students. We know each and everyone of our students can make great growth this year!
My Education and Professional Background
In 2011, I graduated from a small liberal arts school, Carroll University, in Wisconsin with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. I also graduated with endorsements in Early Childhood and Adaptive Education. Right after graduation, I moved to Arizona to start my teaching career. In 2013, I joined the Tarwater family and haven't looked back!
My Educational Philosophy
It is my goal as a teacher to inspire children to become life-long learners. It is my job to provide students with a safe learning environment that they enjoy being in, but always will succeed. I want to provide students with the resources and information necessary to help them succeed in their future. Plus, I want to make learning as much fun as possible! The classroom and school should be a place students want to come. Something new and exciting is happening everyday in third grade.
