    Welcome!

    Welcome to First Grade at Andersen Elementary. I am excited to be an astronaut this year! We are going to have a exciting adventure as we learn and inquire about so many new topics this year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I grew up surrounded by teachers, and both of my parents were teachers. I received a BS in Elementary Education from Youngstown State. My master's degree is in Brain Based Teaching. I have taught most grades from preschool up to 4th.

    My Educational Philosophy

    Every child can learn, it just may not be at the same pace or in the same way as another child. Every child has their own strengths. I want to help children fall in love with learning new things, be curious, instill a sense of wonder, and help them to be risk-takers.
