    My Education and Professional Background

My name is Yi Liang,I was born and raised in China and got my bachelor's in elementary education at Qingdao University, China. After graduating, I have been working for an international school for four years, teaching Mandarin in bilingual classes. During the fourth year, I took the lead teacher role as well as in charge of teacher training, parent workshops, and organizing events. In 2014, I decided to expand my experience and came to the U.S. to teach a Mandarin Immersion Program in a public elementary school for four years. During these four years, I have been teaching kindergarten and actively involved in school events, contributing my experience and knowledge by teaching Mandarin and sharing Chinese culture with the learning community. In May 2020, I graduated with a master's degree in Education from California State University, Fresno and moved to Arizona.

    My Educational Philosophy

Through my teaching experiences, I believe that each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. Each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my goal as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites collaborate with others. I believe that each child is a life-long learner. My job is teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes is to instill a love and caring for learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I feel there is a need for compassionate, powerful, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children.
