Per State Law HB 2439 

This notice is to inform you that we will be purchasing new books/materials for our library continuously throughout the year.  State law mandates that schools notify parents of the opening and closing public review period within seven (7) school days prior to the opening date.  Therefore, this notice dated March 21, 2023 provides the opening date of the public review period for newly purchased library books/materials and the closing date as May 28, 2023   (A.R.S. 15-721/15-722)

So what does this mean?  

You, as a parent, are welcome to see the currently added books to the library.  If there is a book you deem not appropriate for your child, you are welcome to reach out to Mrs. Foster and have a note put on your child's account that will prohibit them from checking out that title.  

The collection is ALWAYS available for review online in Destiny.  We always encourage you to talk with your children about what they are reading and what types of books, authors, characters, genres, conflicts, protagonists they enjoy!  The stronger the reader, the better the writer, critical thinker, and problem solver!  Reading for pleasure is the gateway to success!
