About
Holbert...
I am very excited to have the opportunity to join the Bogle family and teach 7th and 8th-grade social studies this year. Together we will learn to think, read, write, and discuss like a historian.
My Education and Professional Background
I moved from my hometown in California to pursue higher education in Arizona as a first-generation college student. In 2018, I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors' in Communication. A few years after, I decided to go back to school to obtain my master's. This year I graduated from Grand Canyon University with my master's in secondary education. The 2021-2022 school year will mark my second year of teaching.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe the well-being and safety of the students at Bogle Junior High School is the biggest priority in our classroom. In order for students to learn they need to be part of a community that fosters that growth and love. I strive to create that environment every day in the classroom. Once that trust and community is established within the classroom, students will be given the tools to spark their creativity and passion for learning through interactive and collaborative activities.
