Welcome to Mrs. Schmidt's Kindergarten class! Kindergarten is a fun-filled year of learning and exploration. I look forward to being a part of your child's success here at Patterson Elementary.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Ottawa University with a BA in Elementary Education. I also have an Early Childhood Endorsement. I have been teaching at Patterson since 2009. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 4th grade, and 6th grade.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe Kindergarten provides the foundation for a child's education. It is my goal to provide my students with a safe, nurturing and fun environment. This enables each child to develop the necessary skills and knowledge that will support them in being capable, confident and competent lifelong learners.
