    Welcome to 5th grade CTA at Patterson Elementary! My name is Christina Sterling and I feel truly blessed to be a part of the Patterson Pride family. This year is guaranteed to be full of learning, hard work, and fun! My goal is for each and every one of my students to grow academically as well as develop the skills needed to be a successful citizen of our school and community. Let's start this journey together!     My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Arizona State University in 2005 and am a huge Sun Devils fan! I have been teaching 5th grade since 2007 and I have been at Patterson Elementary since 2012. My first five years of teaching were in Maricopa at Santa Cruz Elementary School. By the end of each school year, my 5th graders are not only my students, but they become my family! I truly love this age and love seeing them blossom and grow throughout the year.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that each and every child can be successful, and I know that my role as a teacher plays a big part in this. Every child brings a different set of abilities, life experiences, and dreams to school with them each and every day. What I love to do more than anything is get my students to use these special and unique qualities in the classroom and have them develop a love of learning that they may not have had before. I believe that if children believe that they can, then they will.
