LaRue...
Welcome! I am excited to be a part of the Patterson Elementary team as your child's sixth grade teacher. I am looking forward to a wonderful year and to help create a community of lifelong leaders and learners!
My Education and Professional Background
I received a Bachelor's degree from Arizona State University in 2001 and my first Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University in 2003. I received my second Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University in 2014. I received my third Masters degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University in 2016. I have been teaching since 2001 in the Chandler Unified School District.
My Educational Philosophy
My goal as a teacher is to inspire, educate, and motivate students to become lifelong leaders and learners. I will be a positive role model and leader for students. I will respect each of my students, parents, staff and community members. In my classroom, I will build a community where each student feels safe and willing to take risks. I will ensure that each student reaches their academic potential by adjusting my teaching based on their needs. I will motivate students to do the best they can, each and every day.
