First Grade Schoolwork
We hope you are all doing well and that everyone is safe.
We miss your child’s smiling face each day. Below you will find links for logging in to Clever to access ELA assignments meant to keep your child engaged with school. Keep your child active in other areas that are also important to their development such as physical movement, painting, drawing, etc.
Visit Mrs. Whitmire’s page for any other online activities your child will benefit from.
Your child should not be working more than two hours a day on the materials we have provided. That does not necessarily mean consecutively, but what works best for your household.
When completing work and a question arises, please reach out to your teacher through e-mail or through the Remind app.
Your teachers are here to support you. We miss our students and want to help as best we can during this time!
First Grade Reading:
Each week students will read the Journeys story provided; please follow the links below or access the book on-line through Clever:
After reading each story, have your child complete the worksheets that accompany the story.
As always we encourage students to read books from home; please continue reading in RAZ kids.
Answer the questions at the end of each story and please contact your child's teacher should your child complete all books in their assigned level. The teacher can then adjust them to the next level in RAZ kids.
First Grade Math Lessons Provided by Liberty:

These lessons are provided by the district and are optional. We understand they are further ahead than where we left off, however, we are trying to be consistent according to district guidelines. The lessons will introduce new concepts; for those problems that are new, parents can do them with their child, skip it, or reach out to their teacher for assistance.
These lessons will provide a challenge for you child if you choose to complete them.
**Practice Math Facts as needed.
**Multiplication is optional.
