Hello!  My name is Dianna Chavez and I am looking forward to a rewarding & exciting year in First Grade with your child!   This is my 13th year teaching at Patterson Elementary & I am very happy to be here.

My husband Fernando and I have been married for 23 years and have three wonderful children.  Our oldest son's name is Ryan.  He is 31 years old and is a graduate from ASU.  He is now working as a Talent Development Specialist for Axon.   In his spare time, he loves to play soccer, go to concerts and travel.  We are also very excited to share that Ryan will be getting married in March 2024.  His fiance's name is Kayla, and we absolutely adore her!

Our daughter's name is Marissa.  She is 22 years old and a Junior at ASU.  She is currently working towards her bachelors degree in Education & will graduate in December of 2024.  She also works for a company called CARD (Center for Autism & Related Disorders). She is a Team Lead and also works one on one with children. She adores her students, and can't wait to be a teacher!   In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family & friends, shopping, baking & her favorite place to visit is Disneyland!

Aidan is our youngest and he is 20 years old.  He is a Sophomore at ASU and is pursuing a bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management through WP Carey.  Aidan loves hanging out with friends and playing his guitars. In his free time he also enjoys DJing and mixing music.

We are big ASU fans! My husband & I both graduated from ASU as well! :)  Last but not least, we have a Chocolate Lab named Kamaya.  She is 9 years old and full of energy.  She keeps us on our toes!

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, shop, grab a coffee from Starbucks or workout. I am also a huge Disneyland fan, just like Marissa. :)

Please know that I am always available to discuss your child's progress.  I appreciate parents taking an active role in their child's education. I look forward to working as a team so that your child will have a positive and productive year in first grade.   I want this to be a very successful, rewarding & fun year for your children.

    Warmly,
    Dianna Chavez
