Welcome! PreK is a wonderful time for discovery, exploration, and growth. Teaching young children is my passion and I look forward to working with you as we help your student build a lifelong love of learning.
My Education and Professional Background
I am excited about teaching at Riggs and I have been in the classroom since 2007. After receiving a B.S. in Elementary Education, I taught grades 3, 4, and 6; and I have worked as a reading specialist for three years. Now, my favorite place to be is the Pre-K classroom. I taught at a private preschool, from 2015 to 2020 while completing a master’s degree in early childhood education at ASU.
My Educational Philosophy
Quality preschool education includes opportunities for cognitive, physical, verbal, social and emotional growth. Our classroom will encourage growth in each of these areas as we use the tools of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) to guide our learning.
