    Welcome to Riggs Elementary, home of the Roadrunners! We are so excited to have you visit our amazing school! We are thrilled to embark on this new academic year with all of you. Our school theme this year is Riggs Power & Pride! We strive to create a vibrant and inclusive learning community where everyone feels valued and supported. Our dedicated staff is passionate about fostering a love of learning and helping each child meet their individual learning goals.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I hold a Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. My Master's Degree is in Educational Leadership. I have taught grades Kindergarten through 5th grade for ten years. The past 24 years, I have been a principal in the Mesa Public School District. I love everything about being a principal! Each day is special because of the awesome  students, staff and parents that embody our Riggs Learning Community!  

    My Educational Philosophy

    As an elementary school principal, my educational philosphy centers on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. I believe in fostering a love of learning through engaging, student-centered instruction that recognizes and values the unique strengths and needs of each child. I am committed to cultivating a safe, kind, academic centered community where students feel respected, valued, and empowered to take risks in their learning. Go Riggs Roadrunners!
