About Ryan Elementary School...
At Ryan Elementary we are proud to teach our students the Three Ryan Rs: Respect, Responsibility, and Right to Learn in a Safe Environment. We are an Olweus anti-bullying school, and through weekly class meetings, our students and teachers discuss what it looks like and feels like to have a bully-free environment. We teach the "Royal Life Skills," which are featured by our News Crew in its video announcements.
Ryan is a school that also prides itself on having a very active and dedicated P.T.O. The level of commitment and support our P.T.O. has demonstrated has been incredible!
We are constantly striving to offer our students opportunities to enrich their learning. We help students develop critical thinking and team building and creativity skills through STEM; an example would be working with our Tower Gardens and utilizing a hydroponic system. We also pride ourselves on having many voracious readers on campus, and as evidence we have sent teams to the finals of Battle of the Books. A variety of other fine extra-curricular activities enhance our students' education including our Ryan News Crew, choir, band, strings, student council, and Girls on the Run.
Finally, and most importantly, we have a staff that is always striving for excellence by learning new research based teaching strategies that will best meet the needs of our students. We invite you to join our family!
