About
Saks...
Hi! I am so happy to be at Ryan teaching 2nd grade! I am the proud mom of 2 amazing kids, Aaron and Ana. Ana and I get to come to school together every day because she is also a Ryan Royal. Aaron is a Basha Bear.
My Education and Professional Background
I attended Florida State University (Go Noles!) where I received a BS in Elementary Education. I taught 5th grade in my hometown of Marietta, GA before moving to Arizona in 1997. Once here, I taught 5th and 6th grade in CUSD. In 2002, I earned my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from NAU. I love learning new things and always try to stay up to date on the latest teaching practices.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that children learn best when they are engaged and having fun! Each child is unique in his or her own way. I love getting to know each one and learning what makes them tick. I believe in a strong partnership between home and school and I look forward to working with you to help your child reach their full potential while having fun learning new things!
