Meet Mrs. Johnson
Hello!  My name is Carol Johnson.  I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and grew up on a wheat farm in Kansas.  I was lucky that my grandparents and great-grandparents both had houses on the same farm.  I loved listening to their stories of the past and imagining what it must have been like.  My big brother and I liked taking opportunities to explore in hopes of finding an exciting adventure.  I was very fortunate that my mom and dad made it a priority to take a family vacation each summer so I can thank them for my love of travel.

I received my teaching degree from Kansas State University and my Masters in Education from NAU.  I started my teaching career in the Kyrene School District teaching second grade.   I taught third grade at Conley Elementary and fifth grade at Hull Elementary in Chandler before moving to Riggs.  2018-2019 will be my 24th year of teaching!

My amazing family consists of my husband, David and my two sons. Tanner just turned 19 and is stationed in San Diego in the Navy.   Ethan will be 11 in October and keeps us busy cheering him on in baseball and football.  My boys help me to appreciate all the little things in life.  We love to travel and spend time together.  Family is so important to me!
I look forward to an exciting year of exploration and discovery with each of you.
