What is Art Masterpiece?
Art Masterpiece is a national art enrichment program that uses reproduction of fine works of art to promote art literacy in children. Various Artists are presented on a monthly basis to each classroom followed by a hands-on art project.
The Art Masterpiece program at Conley is run solely by volunteers. No art knowledge or experience is needed or required to teach the classes. The volunteer or art guide will receive a total of 6 projects for the school year. All projects are preplanned and all art materials and lesson plans are provided for each 45 minute lesson. Most of the class time is spent on the children working on their art piece.
If you would like to volunteer please talk to your child’s teacher or the Art Masterpiece Coordinator.
