I am so blessed to be the leader at Conley Elementary School. We have wonderful students, parents, and an excellent, dedicated staff. At Conley Elementary we embrace diversity in many different ways. We treat each child as an individual and attempt to meet those specific needs. Our students take an active role in their education, being involved in many areas of our campus that include leadership, service opportunities, and a variety of clubs and activities. Conley is a great school!
My Education and Professional Background
I completed undergraduate work in the pre-med program at Arizona State University, Masters of Education Administration completed at the University of Phoenix, Doctorate in Education Leadership fulfilled at the University of Phoenix. My educational experiences vary greatly. I began as a 6th grade teacher and then taught junior high math and reading. I also taught high school science for several years and became the department chair who was responsible for new teachers. I progressed to assistant high school principal. After many years as an assistant, I accepted a principal position at a K-8 school. I have been an adjunct faculty member for several universities and have presented nationally at the National Elementary Principals Convention, as well as Staff Development for Educators.
My Educational Philosophy
After being in education for over 25 years, I have adopted and embraced certain beliefs in the education process of a child. At the center of my philosophy is meeting the needs of the individual child. I believe that all children are different and as educators, we have a responsibility to effectively educate children at all levels. I also believe that we are most effective educating children when we have all stakeholders actively involved: the school, parents, and community. Finally, I take this responsibility very seriously and am blessed to be the leader at Conley.
