About
Krell...
Hello and welcome! My name is Kim Krell. It is my pleasure to be working in the Chandler School District where I have been teaching since 1992. I am thankful for the privilege of working with so many wonderful families and students. Chandler is a great place to be!
My Education and Professional Background
I was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. After graduating from high school, I attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona (Go Wildcats!) where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Family/ Consumer Resources and Child Development. In 1990, I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Colorado College, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I returned to Arizona and began my teaching career in the Fall of 1990. Professional Trainings include: Tribes, Dibels, Phonics, Burst and Fundations Reading Intervention, The Daily 5 Language Arts intervention and 6-Traits Writing, Endorsements include: SEI and Early Childhood Education.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that every student is unique, lovable and capable of success, no exceptions. Learning is a lifelong adventure that includes much more than academics. I want my students to feel comfortable taking risks, exploring the world around them and encouraging others along the way. It is said, It takes a village to raise a child and I'm proud to be a part of this learning/growing process for children.
