BJHS IEP Services/Special Education
Welcome! We are looking forward to working with your child to meet their individual learning goals. The BJHS campus offers several levels of special education support including resource, co-taught, mainstreaming, strategies class, and specialized classrooms. The IEP team at BJHS is dedicated to meeting the needs of the students with special needs. Each student with an identified disability and eligibility for special education services is provided with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that targets specific needs and provides appropriate goals, services, accommodations, and supports so that each student in our program has the opportunity to be successful in school.
The BJHS IEP Services team currently includes 14 members including 7 full time special education teachers, a clerk, and several paraprofessionals. Itinerant staff include the school psychologist, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, vision specialist, hearing specialist, and adaptive PE.
Parents of students with IEPs: Please contact your child's case manager for information regarding IEP meetings and documentation, and questions about your child's classes. If you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Regina Wetzler or Miranda Huhta, IEP Services Department Co-Chairs.
If you are a parent of a student without an IEP, but have questions about IEP services, please contact Regina Wetzler or Miranda Huhta, IEP Services Department Co-Chairs directly.
