At Riggs Elementary, students are leaders and proud to be part of their school community. From the moment they walk on campus, students show leadership in the way they treat others and in the way they go about solving problems within the classroom and curriculum. Students are challenged with a rigorous curriculum that is guided by teachers, and supported by parents and family. High expectations are maintained for each student at Riggs where the goal will always be to foster a love of learning that continues throughout the life of each student. The Riggs staff believes in developing the whole child both in school and out of school which is why extracurricular activities are encouraged. Celebrating student success in a variety of areas is important at Riggs. Students feel valued and share a sense of accomplishment when they are recognized by the staff members. Teachers, students and parents are proud of our Riggs Family and feel pride in being a Roadrunner. We welcome all families to visit so they can feel firsthand the positive culture at Riggs.
