Battle of the Books Battle of the Books

    Let the Battle Rage On!
The Battle of the Books is a statewide competition that is held in partnership with local public libraries. The Battle is offered to 5th and 6th grade students who are divided into teams of three. The members of each team all read the same four assigned titles each quarter. At the end of each quarter, the teams assemble after school in our library and are orally quizzed on details surrounding the books. Points are awarded, but not revealed until after the third and final competition in the spring. The team that has accumulated the most points after the three main competitions will go on to represent our school at the City of Chandler semi-final competition that will take place at the Chandler City Council Chambers.

Students are required to attend all three Battles, so please make sure no other after-school commitments are planned for those days.
