  • Read Across America Spirit Days
    In honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday, the whole school is invited to show some spirit!
    Wednesday-2/28- Cat in the Hat (Wear a hat)
    Thursday-3/1- Fox in Sox (Wear crazy socks)
    Friday-3/2- 1 Fish, 2 Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish (wear red or blue)

  • District Track Meet
    This year’s District track meet for Hancock will be held on March 6th from 9:30-1:00 at Casteel Junior High School. Our 5th and 6th grade students have been qualifying for the Chandler Track and Field Competition. The top 3 in each event will be able to attend the meet. Good luck to all our qualifying students!

  • District Honors- Orchestra
    Congratulations to Mia Bemish (violin) and Evan Colihan (cello) for qualifying for orchestra district honors! Way to go! We are very proud of you both!

  • Our mascot Blaze participated in the Mascot Run at the All-In 5K race. We enjoyed meeting and talking to the Phoenix Coyotes Mascot. Also very happy to meet the Hamilton HS Mascot-who was a former Hancock student!

  • Hancock was selected as one of the winners of the Diamondbacks $100,000.00 School Challenge presented by the University of Phoenix.  The Hancock library received a charitable contribution of $2,500.00 which was used to purchase 137 new chapter books. Way to go Ms. Gray for working so hard to make our library one of the best in the district.

  • Hancock is pleased to announce that we have earned an A letter grade with the AzMerit assessment that tested our students on the new state standards. We are proud of our school and will continue to “Blaze a Path to the Future!”

  • Community Ed has a new software system! (Good news its extremely user friendly!!). With the new system you will need to create a profile (www.cusd80.ce.eleyo.com), now if you have children in Kids Express, Enrichment programs or Club CUSD – you already have a login!

  • Hancock Heat Weekly Newsletter- The Hancock Heat Happenings is a weekly newsletter that will be posted to Peachjar each Friday. The newsletter will  include upcoming Hancock events, news and information. It will show up in your emails if we have one for you. Peachjar flyers and the newsletter can also be found on the Hancock website. Peachjar will also display all Community Education flyers sent from District.

  • The CUSD administration and Governing Board presented the annual “state of the district” message to community leaders on January 25 in the Governing Board Room. The annual report provides an overview of the district, academic performance, recognition of students and staff, budget information and an update on expenditures from bond elections.
