General Information
Arizona's Academic Standards Assessment (AASA) is the new state assessment, replacing the AzM2. Chandler Unified School District will administer this computer-based test to students in grades 3-8.

Sample Tests
The AASA Sample Tests are now live and can be accessed through Pearson's TestNav platform. From home.testnav.com, click on Arizona, then click on Mic Check & Sample Tests. This link and instructions are also provided on the AASA webpage and the Educator Resources webpage. Sample Test Scoring Guides will be available soon.
Arizona's Academic Standards Assessement (3rd Grade Oral Reading Fluency -- ORF -- Information)
Below are answers to common questions received regarding the AASA Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) test section:
- The ORF test session will be administered to Grade 3 students only.
- Each student will read three passages, with a time limit of one minute per passage, like what is currently done for other Oral Reading Fluency tools.
- The Recommended Seating Arrangements for the ORF test section provides information for a maximum of 6 students simultaneously testing in a classroom environment and a computer lab environment.
- Computer-based testing schools will administer the ORF section online.
- A unidirectional with a noise-cancelling microphone must be used for the Oral fluency test.
