Documents Needed
You will need the following information to enter and upload into our secure Online Registration Portal:
- Household information – address and phone numbers
- Parent/Legal Guardian information – work and cell phone numbers, e-mail addresses
- Student information – demographic and health information
- Emergency contact – names and phone numbers
- *Proof of Residency – current utility bill, lease agreement, etc. (see Acceptable Proof of Residency under Additional Student Registration Information)
- State certified birth certificate
- Legal guardian or legal custody papers (if the parent/legal guardian is not on the birth certificate)

School Boundaries

Students are assigned to a home school according to their street address.
The Chandler Unified School District is located in the Southeastern part of the Phoenix metropolitan area. Chandler Unified serves more than 44,000 students in grades K-12 and encompasses 80 square miles including parts of the towns of Gilbert and Queen Creek, though not all of the City of Chandler. Chandler comprises 53 schools and programs (33 elementary, 8 middle, 6 high school and 6 alternative programs).
In addition, Chandler Unified has options for pre-kindergarten (age 4) and preschool (age 3) on 17 different elementary school campuses. For more information click here.
Open Enrollment

Chandler Unified School District offers free, full-day Kindergarten, and is an open enrollment district. Families who live outside the district or school boundaries will need to apply for open enrollment. If you are interested in attending a school other than your attendance boundary school, you must apply and be accepted through Open Enrollment before you can register. Failure to complete the Open Enrollment application will place your student's registration on HOLD. Click here to learn more detailed information about eligibility and acceptance procedures.

Afterschool and Enrichment Programs For All Ages
The Community Education Department provides a variety of academic, enrichment and recreation activities for the students of the Chandler Unified School District and citizens of our community. Our goal is to provide opportunities and services that go beyond the normal school day to enrich our students, their families and the community. In addition, Community Education is a self-sustaining arm of the school district, open to all students, regardless of residence. Our "Umbrella" of services seeks to improve the quality of life by providing lifelong learning opportunities for our citizens. Through Community Education, kids can choose activities just for them, ranging from:

Breakfast and Lunch Programs Offered
CUSD Nutrition is dedicated to offering healthy and safe food to all ages. Through our partnership with Aramark, we strive to provide an elevated guest experience and a large variety of healthy and delicious choices for your student. Preschool (age 3) and Prekindergarten programs (age 4)
Curriculum is aligned to the Arizona Early Learning Standards, which were developed for all children 3-5 years of age. These standards serve as a guide in providing a quality program that is developmentally appropriate for each child. Programs also follow the CUSD student calendar.
- Classes led by certified Early Childhood Education teachers
- Rigorous academic curriculum to support literacy, math skills, STEM and social, emotional learning
- Opportunity for language exploration and exposure in Mandarin or Spanish available for 4 year olds at two locations in the district
