STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math)
The Chandler Unified School District is a premier district of choice. We are proud to offer a rigorous hands-on approach to science for every student. Chandler students experience the adventure of discovering science through inquiry-based activities, project-based learning assignments, laboratory investigations, STEM projects, current literary analysis, and relevant technology that brings content to life.
Students in grades 5-12 design their own experiments for the district science fair, and many earn top awards at the state and international levels. Chandler offers extracurricular activities such as science club, Engineering is Elementary, Environmental Club, Lego Robotics and opportunities to compete in STEM competitions with students across the country.

2020 HISEF (Hamilton Invitational Science and Engineering Fair) Winners at the Chandler Innovation Fair
Posted by Webmaster on 2/23/2020 8:00:00 PMThe 2nd annual Chandler Innovation Fair (CIF) was an incredible success. More than 4,000 students were represented and over 5,000 people attended. CIF featured student innovation as the cornerstone, including the Hamilton Invitational Science and Engineering Fair research and projects, student inventions, project based learning presentations, computer science projects, robotics showcases, and elementary and junior high robotics competitions in both FLL and VEX. The Junior High State VEX Robotics tournament (hosted by Willis Firebots) was held at the event, and the Firebots took home the state championship. Every CUSD school was represented alongside over 60 interactive vendors and CTE programs. The award ceremony took place on March 2 at the Chandler Center for the Arts. The award ceremony featured keynotes from Intel and Camille Casteel, as well as special awards from our community partners: Intel, Waymo, SRP, State Farm, Grand Canyon University, and the City of Chandler.
The Chandler Innovation Fair wouldn't have been the success it was without the teachers, students, families, and community support. A special thank you to everyone involved.
ALL HISEF and CIF WINNERS LISTED BELOW!

CTE had a car show, computer science challenge using Microbit/Microbots, engineering boat races, culinary cooking demos, a sports medicine tape-off and quiz bowl, and a digital photography competition.
Superintendent, Camille Casteel was a keynote speaker and helped award more than 100 students for their science fair projects during the cornerstone event, the Hamilton Invitational Science and Engineering Fair.
Additionally, special awards were given to innovative projects in all event categories presented by Intel, Waymo, the City of Chandler, Grand Canyon University, Northrop Grumman, StateFarm, and SRP.
The Chandler Innovation Fair wouldn't have been the success it was without the teachers, students, families, and community support. A special thank you to everyone involved.
