    Welcome!

    Hello! My name is Miss Johnson, and I am so proud to be a Willis Firebird.
    I teach 7th and 8th grade Social Studies. After school you can find me helping with Homework Hub, Gardening Club and just generally being awesome.
    I grew up in Los Angeles, California with my little brother, Mom and Dad. Go Dodgers!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe every child is entitled to the best education. Students will rise to the challenges set when they feel supported and safe. So I strive to make my classroom a place where success is celebrated and "struggle" is not a scary word, but expected on the path to success.
    To achieve that, the classroom must be built on the foundation of the community. I encourage every family to come into the classroom and get involved in their student's education.

    I choose to teach at Willis because of our amazing staff and community. From the top down our staff puts what is best for students first. We work together to make sure every single child who walks onto our campus feels welcome and loved. We go out of our way to provide anything a child may need to be successful in the school setting.
    We are able to do that because of the astounding generosity shown by our community. Through fundraisers, families, and community partners we have been able to provide for our students the best possible education.
