About
Giroux...
Hello! My name is Nikole Giroux and I am the new 7th Grade Math Inteventionist. I am very excited to be a part of Willis Jr. High! Math has always been my favorite subject and I cannat wait to work with some great students this year.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Grand Valley State University (Michigan) with a Bachelor's Degree. I majored in Mathematics and received my minor in Elementary Education. I taught 5th grade in South Carolina for 4 years before moving to AZ. I taught 7th grade math for a year and then taught 6th grade math for 6 years. I loved teaching math, but knew that intervention was my passion.
My Educational Philosophy
My goal for the students in my classroom is to challenge them to do their best. I want each student to work hard and find opportunities to grow in all areas of life. I want them to feel comfortable in my classroom and know that making mistakes is just an opportunity to learn. I want them to walk into my classroom and know that I am there to help them learn and grow.
