    My Education and Professional Background

    The 2024-2025 school year will be my 22nd year teaching. I have been at CTA-Independence for the past 5 years. I taught online for Chandler Online Academy during the 2020-2021 school year. I love using technology to teach and for students to learn.

    I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Arizona University in Elementary Education and have endorsements in English as a Second Language and Early Childhood birth-8 years. I also have been trained in Tribes Learning Communities and Spalding.

    My Educational Philosophy

    As an educator it is my job to create a safe and inclusive learning community where my students are free to take risks, are able to make mistakes, and will support/challenge each other through high expectations. It is important to me that my students develop a zest for learning and life. I hope to model that during the time I spend with them. We will work hard to achieve our goals, so that we can play hard!
