About
Banda...
Welcome to fourth grade! I am fully committed to making fourth grade an enriching and rewarding experience for the students. I am working hard to ensure that the students have a fulfilling year both academically and as a learning community.
My Education and Professional Background
This will be my tenth year teaching, ranging from first, second, and fourth grades. I graduated from ASU with my degree in Elementary Education and my specialization is in ESL. My Master's is in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University. I also have a K-12 Reading Endorsement and English Language Learner Endorsement.
My Educational Philosophy
Education is a lifelong process, and my goal is to foster the love of learning in each child. Helping students gain a deeper understanding is what drives me, and I love seeing them light up when they make those connections. Doing this in a respectful, structured, caring environment allows students to have a successful year.
