The Site-Based Council (SBC) meets once a quarter. Council members are made up of teachers, support staff, administrators, parents, and an outside community member.
Site-Based Councils were mandated by the Education Reform Act of 1993 as part of the Act’s decentralization of decisionmaking. A primary interest of Site-Based Councils is to empower those closest to the learner ~ school administrators, teachers, parents, and community members.
Notification of future site council opportunities will be posted and updated at the beginning of the school year.
