About
Weed...
Welcome to Knox Gifted Academy. I am honored and privileged to be the principal of KGA!
My Education and Professional Background
I have had the incredible opportunity to work in education for over twenty years and have served at both the school and district office levels. I have been a principal in the Chandler Unified School District since 2009.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe in leading an environment where children learn and grow to their fullest potential academically, emotionally, and socially. I see my role as an advocate for students and faculty to support the demanding challenges for the future. At KGA, we will strive to provide a unique opportunity within the Chandler Unified School District for gifted students to experience a school-wide culture of community and collaboration. The teachers and faculty are specifically trained to provide problem-based learning with an interdisciplinary approach to best support our learners. A strong focus on 21st Century Skills, technology, and engineering are embedded in all aspects of the accelerated curriculum.
