About
Vogt...
I feel honored to be a member of this amazing KGA team. I have been teaching in the Chandler Unified School District since 2007. Prior to that I worked in the Tempe School District as a sign language interpreter for students in the primary grades as well as junior high. I am proud to now be part of the innovative culture here at Knox Gifted Academy.
My Education and Professional Background
I have B.A. in elementary education from Arizona State University with a minor in American Sign Language and a M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from Northern Arizona University. I am certified in kindergarten through eighth grade elementary education and am endorsed in early childhood and structured English immersion.
My Educational Philosophy
I want each student to feel a connection to school and a bond with their teacher. I believe that when this connection is strong students will grow to think for themselves, be resilient in life, be a strong member of the community and enjoy a lifetime of learning. It is my goal and honor to foster this connection.
