Willis Junior High School has a proud history of preparing students for academic and social success in high school and beyond.  At Willis, we pride ourselves in providing students with a diversified learning experience that addresses their academic, social and emotional needs.  We encourage all of our students to be active participants in their learning experience and we offer a wide variety of clubs, athletics and social activities to assist them in their efforts to build connections within our campus community.

Our rich academic tradition includes such accolades as state championships in Knowledge Bowl, back-to-back Arizona Science and Engineering Fair Championships (2010 and 2011), and National History Day competition winners.  A state and nationally recognized music program provides students with opportunities to enhance their artistic abilities through band, choir and orchestra.  In addition, Willis has had unparalleled success in athletics, winning numerous championships in a variety of sports, including 2010-11 East Valley Conference Championships in flag football, boy’s soccer and girl’s basketball.

Our mission at Willis is to provide each student with individualized learning experiences that address their unique talents and interests.  Members of our teaching staff are enthusiastic supporters of kids who make every effort to design lessons and activities that will engage and challenge students.  We are very excited about upcoming enhancements to our instructional delivery program that will result in a greater integration of current technology tools to enrich the student learning experience.
