Renting facilities at the Chandler Unified School District (FAQs)

COMMUNITY EDUCATION NEWS — The Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) has facilities available for rent through the Community Education department. What exactly are facility rentals? What is included in a facility rental reservation? What kind of facilities can I rent? Are there any discounts available? If you find yourself asking these questions, read on to learn more about facility rentals at CUSD.
1. What are facility rentals? What do people use them for?
The Community Education department offers CUSD facilities to the public for rent. With an extensive campus of 51 schools located in the Southeastern part of the Phoenix metropolitan area, CUSD is sure to have the perfect space for your personal or business event. We have many different facility rentals to suit your needs at select schools in our district.

2. How do I rent a facility in the Chandler Unified School District?
Visit Facilitron.com to search available rental spaces and request your reservation.
3. How do I submit payment?
You can pay by card, eCheck, or PayPal through your account on Facilitron.com or by mail (check or money order only). Checks and money orders must be payable to Facilitron, Inc. Write the reservation number on the check and mail it to the address below:

4. Do I have to make a down payment on my reservation?
Yes. All reservations require a 35% payment upon booking unless you are paying by mail.
5. Is set up, tear down, and rehearsal time included in the reservation?
No, it is not included. Time for set up, tear down, and rehearsal can be added to your reservation if the facility is available.
6. Do you have a discounted rate for non-profit organizations?
Yes, non-profit organizations can rent our facilities at a discounted rate. Please upload a copy of your Employment Identification Number (EIN) on Facilitron.com to receive the non-profit rate.
7. Do I have to have insurance for my reservation?
Yes, all reservations require insurance. You may upload your own Certification of Insurance through your account on Faciltiron.com or buy insurance through Facilitron. You can upload this information through the “Documents” page or the “Reservations Details” page. There are more detailed instructions for this process under “Renter Support.”
8. My reservation says, “Auditorium Only.” Does that include dressing rooms, green rooms, or equipment?
No, it does not. The auditorium lobby is included in the auditorium reservation but dressing rooms or additional rooms needed must be added to auditorium rentals. Equipment needed may be added to your reservation if it is available as well. Some equipment that may be available to add to your facility rental reservation includes a sound system, choir shells, and risers.
9. Who do I work with to ensure the lighting, sound, and equipment needs are met for my performance?
The Audio and Visual (AV) Technician at the school will help with that. There is an additional hourly fee if your rental requires an AV Tech. You also may have an AV Tech pre-program your lights.
10. According to my reservation, restroom usage is limited to 4 hours, but my reservation is over 4 hours. Why is that?
For reservations over 4 hours, you will be charged for restrooms at a flat rate of $28/day to cover the cost of restroom supplies such as napkins and toilet paper. They are available to use for the duration of your event.

12. How much do you charge for your facility rentals?
A general list of pricing is presented below: *
Gymnasiums: $100-$120/hour
Auditoriums: $200/hour
Cafeteria (High School): $75/hour
Parking Lots: $25/hour
Fields: $20-$200/hour
