Hamilton selected Alief Taylor High in the hardest hit areas of the Gulf Coast as many of the faculty and students lost their homes and became displaced as a result of Hurricane Harvey. The school opened its doors to the community as a result of storm and became a shelter, a food pantry, and place to dispatch emergency services. She started with a thinking map, wrote a plan and made a video to post. She sold and mailed out 100+ bracelets raising over $1,200. She partnered with Phoenix Rescue Mission who provided a list of immediate needs. The funds purchased hundreds of pairs of briefs and socks for men and women.
