Subject: CRT
Comment: CRT has no place in education and should not be implemented in CUSD. No expenses should be paid by CUSD to support any Board member or otherwise to attend such an indoctrination. CUSD should absolutley teach about racism, slavery, and segregation. It should not attempt to indoctrinate students into fringe racial theories that claim one race is superior to another or that individuals should be treated differently on the basis of race. Let's study Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. instead!Submitted by: Kristin G

Subject: The Importance of Discourse
Comment: There is a growing amount of pushback to teaching a holistic and fact-based history of our country's formation. As curriculum is considered, the contributions and obstructions encountered should be representative of all experiences and not centered on a single narrative. Education should remain a space for exploration, discussion, thoughtful discourse and interrogation of what we think we know. Please keep these principles in mind as you govern the direction of the district.Submitted by: Linda G

Comment: Critical Race theory is racism, if you focus on skin color you are a racist. Do not approve these ridiculous ideas. We moved from a blue state, and will pull our children out if you approve it. Gilbert lost 150 education jobs due to students pulling out, and you will be next if approved. We are also not wearing masks next year. And we are not going to be watching CNN in class either.Submitted by: LeAnn M

Comment: Please vote no on this critical race theory and the gender theories being taught in our school. I would like to see copies of this curriculum both CRT and what ever you are teaching regarding gender theories. It is unacceptable that you've snuck this in. Also would like to see the curriculum pertaining to the environment that you'll be teaching.Submitted by: leann

Subject: June 9th School Board Meeting
Comment: I'd like to address Ms. Barb Mozdzen's remarks regarding Equity vs Equality: You stated that Equity is giving the child/student what is needed or requred. As a parent I want to make it clear that it is my responsibility to give and teach each of my children what is needed and or required. As a school board or a teacher you can not take that responsiblity upon yourself. Stay in your lane and be responsible to uphold the office you were elected to by us, the parents.Submitted by: Diane S

Subject: CRT
Comment: Very concerning that you profess to not be using CRT in your teacher training when u really are. Photos of what is being used have been shared with parents. In addition the rumor is that teachers are being paid to take these i services. How can you continue to mislead parents? What gives you the right? This must be stopped.Submitted by: Barbara F

Subject: Gender Theory and CRT
Comment: Hello, with much regret I would like to inform the governing board that our schools have no place for CRT or Gender theory. Any teacher or staff who tries to indoctrinate our children to alter their behavior of thinking with a focus on the color of their skin is child abuse. Please stop this communist indoctrination immediately.Submitted by: Eileen G

Comment: I am a parent of two daughters, one, a senior who just graduated from ACP Erie H.S. and the other who will be a Junior at the new ACP H.S. I am a member of VUU (Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation) which through VIP (Valley Interfaith Project) is supporting CUSD and their efforts to fulfill its mission statement, vision statement, and core values supporting diversity , equity, and collaboration. We are thankful for your work to make Chandler a welcoming and strong community through policy that supports high achievement by all students and that resources are fairly divided among all CUSD campuses, especially those in areas of Chandler that are more economically challenged. I am also a strong supporter of advocating for more funding at the state and local level. I have personally worked to pass bond elections and overrides and worked to pass state legislation to keep our schools properly funded. Subject: Racism
Comment: Since more racism issues are happening we really need to do something. I believe there should be a zero tolerance for any type of racism esp pertaining to staff. When the Hamilton coach used the N word doesn't seem like much was done. When are you all going to realize that racism is just getting worse. We have to be more dilgent with educating in a positive manner that this is not right. CRT or some other form needs to be taught. Racism begins at home nit in schools. Lindsay Love has been instrumental in my son's case more than anyone and we really appreciate her! Thank you!Submitted by: Sarah

Subject: Equity and Social Classes & hiding the content of classes from parents. I was lied to directly from the director of curriculum at Hamilton High School
Comment: Your use of our tax payer dollars to choose to implement classes against the will of my family. I have the lawful right to direct the upbringing and morality of my children and the school does not legally have this right. I am sure you have good intentions to somehow direct our children towards your beliefs. We however choose to direct our children towards kindness regardless of color or differences. Please stop breaking the law and our trust in Chandler Unified Schools. You must follow thelaw regardless of how much good you feel about this teaching. I do not have the right to get up and preach about my biblical views and a Muslim also does not have this right. You must respect the parents of your district and stop spending any tax dollars on programming we have not agreed to. You will not hear the end of this from parents of children in your district until this stops. -

Subject: Arresting Your Constituants
Comment: Hey, Daniels strikes me as obnoxious and vague, but it looks like you were using a room with less than a fifth of the capacity you really needed. Everyone knows CRT racism is controversial. Why didn't you postpone the meeting until you could get a room to accommodate all the impacted parents? It does look like you're trying to usurp parental/children's rights. Why didn't you just say We'll reschedule for next week and meet up in the multi-pupose room at XYZ School?Submitted by: Kim C

Subject: Lindsay Love's Travel Plans
Comment: Lindsay Love should NOT be allowed to use school money, tax payer dollars, to make a trip to Atlanta for a conference that will only further divide our community... as she has done since she was voted onto this board. She should be made to do it virtually, if at all, because for a year she voted to keep our kids out of school. Cancel proms, cancel events, cancel award ceremonies, mask all the time.... so she should be able to take what she has been giving our kids for the last year. Please, Iimplore you, DO NOT SPEND SCHOOL MONEY FOR HER TO GO ANYWHERE!! -

Subject: Puma Days
Comment: Why are these days virtual? I thought we were getting back to normal this school year. It's very impersonal for it to be done this way. If you're concern is for the students, as you say it is, let's get back to 2019 days and let these kids go to their puma days. I feel sorry for the incoming freshman... just like I feel sorry for all the seniors having their senior year robbed from them because of a virus. Let's get back to normal.Submitted by: Sherri M

Comment: I am aware masks are optional next year and as usual y'all always put a but in there. I certainly hope that will all the information that has come out as of late regarding masks that you will not put our kids through any more of that this year. I will pull my child from your district, like many others are doing, if there is anymore covid shenanigans. -
