Subject: Board candidates cyberbullying students
Comment: Board candidate Kurt Rorhs got his little feelings hurt when a student-led group posted online why they thought he was bad for CUSD, using no embellishments, just his own words. He apparently took exception to anyone actually listening to what comes out of his mouth and first harassed them himself online, then recruited his second-gen Patriot AZ cosplay buddies to defend him against...let me check...oh, that's right - CUSD STUDENTS. The very students he claims he's running to represent and supp ort. I witnessed the behavior myself. I thought CUSD had a zero-tolerance on bullying, whether it's by teachers or students? So, Frank, you might want to walk back some of your glowing support for our man Mr. Rorhs, since he is a substitute teacher who is clearly violating both district policy and also FEDERAL cyberbullying laws. We don't need any more deaths in this district because you as a body refuse to step in and shut this guy down before he does any more damage.Submitted by: Kurt R

Subject: Budget Policy
Comment: CUSD Board Meeting 071322 - Budget Transparency My name is Kurt Rohrs and I am a Parent in this District. I am here to speak to you tonight about Budget Transparency. The District's revenue is derived from several sources, state base level funding from roughly 50% each of income tax and property tax collections, a taxpayer-approved 'override amount' in addition to the base level funding also derived from local property taxes, and additional State and Federal grants. The traditional budget pro cess appears to be to collect all available revenues, then budget these funds to various spending accounts - whether the funds are needed or not. There is scant communication with the public regarding the actual spending priorities of the District. There does not appear to be any distinction between essential and non-essential programs. The taxpayers that provided the District this funding have very little idea of what you are doing or why. This lack of transparency is concerning. Some people -

Subject: Student Input
Comment: I respectfully suggest that time is setup to further listen to, discuss, understand, and address the concerns presented by our students. Their voices should be heard and respected as they are all but begging for grownups to do the right thing and support their mental health needs.Submitted by: Karrie F

Subject: Covid Dashboard
Comment: Please reconsider updating the Cover Dashboard and publishing to your website as you did last year. Covid cases are going up at our school (per our Principal's e-mail today) and we have no way to know how many cases and if we are approaching a percentage that would require more mitigation, such as masks. The explanation for discontinuing the dashboard was very confusing and did not make sense. -

Subject: Dress Code
Comment: Madam President and Members of the Board - I am a 7th grade student at Bogle Jr. High. I am writing because I am concerned about the unfair impact of the dress code on girls. I would like to ask you to review and change the dress code. I am not a distraction! -

Subject: Recent Salary Adjustment
Comment: As an employee of CUSD I wanted to thank Dr. Narducci and the governing board for their decision to direct the new state funding to the salaries and stipends of CUSD. It is very much appreciated!
