About
Emrick...
Welcome to Ms. Emrick's 7th grade Math Class! I'm hoping my love of math becomes contagious!
My Education and Professional Background
I started my teaching career in 1995. I graduated from Arizona State University in 1996 with a degree in Special Education. I also received a Master's in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. Currently I hold the following certificates: Elementary Education, Learning Disabilities, and Sped. Mild Moderate Mental Handicap. Prior to coming to Chandler in 1999, I taught in the Laveen School District. Since being in the CUSD district I have had the pleasure of teaching at Knox Elementary, CTA Goodman, and now Payne Junior High. I have always carried a love for math, and now I am fortunate enough to focus on my true passion.
My Educational Philosophy
My goal as a teacher is to provide children with a safe and rich environment where they feel confident enough to take chances, explore, and freely share their ideas with others. I strive to make each child's education a TEAM endeavor which includes the parents, teachers, and the child.
