About
Spengler...
Welcome to 8th Grade Langauge Arts! I'm excited to spend another year at Payne helping students grow and doing what I love.
My Education and Professional Background
I hold a bachelors degree from Arizona State University in Broadcast Journalism/Mass Communication with a minor in Human Communication. After completing my degree I took a position in higher education and quickly realized that my passion for education was best utilized in the classroom. As a result I returned to school and earned my Masters in Secondary Education- English in 2012. In 2018 I became a National Board Certified Teacher by earning National Board Certification in Adolescent Youth.
My Educational Philosophy
My educational philosophy is that every student is capable of more than they think they are. In the classroom I strive to lead students to a respect and appreciation for the educational process. I work daily to provide students with the skills necessary to succeed in the academic world as well as life outside the classroom. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for Language Arts with them. I feel there is a need for passionate individuals who are excited lifelong learners.
