Welcome!

I am proud to be a Payne Panther! As the Assistant Principal, I will oversee 8th grade, transportation, and serve as the athletic director. In both of these areas I will work hard to instill positive character in the students at PJHS.

My Education and Professional Background

I hold a BA in Elementary Education from Wayne State University and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a MEd in Educational Leadership, both from Northern Arizona University. I taught Math at Willis Junior High for 13 years and served as the Dean of Students at Payne for three years. I became Assistant Principal of Payne Junior High in 2021.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe students learn most from their failures. Too often we strive for greatness with fear of failure but the only way to become great is to take chances and learn from our mistakes. Every student has the potential to achieve greatness so we must put them in situations where they feel empowered to be the best they can be.

Welcome!

Bienvenidos! I am always excited for a new project as it will enhance our learning, contribute to our personal growth, meet new people and beyond. I have high expectations for myself and for my students. Let's try to make this the best school year possible!

My Education and Professional Background

I have an Associates Degree from CGCC, I obtained my BA degree from ASU in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Spanish. Moreover, I have many years of experience with working with youth. At one point, I taught boxing and I have worked as a youth care provider prior to graduating from college.

My Educational Philosophy

My philosophy of education consists of making our teaching applicable to the real world. Because if it is not applicable, then what's the point? I find that with teaching a foreign language, I can easily achieve that and I take great pride with that. Learning a foreign language can have a monetary value and well as cognitive. Those are a few things that I will be discussing with my students. I am all about making my class relevant to the world we live in.

Welcome!

My goal this school year is for my students to think about education with a positive mind set. I want my students to come to school ready to show off their asets and ready to grow. Every child deserves to learn the way that supports them and it's my job to support their growth to the best of my abilities.

My Education and Professional Background

I graduated from Arizona State in the Spring with a BA in Special Education and Elementary Education. I interned in Chandler schools during my time at ASU and fell in love with the district.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that every student is unique and in order for them to learn you have to first figure out how they learn as a student and how they are as a person. This is done through communication with that student, other colleagues, teachers and their parent/ guardians. That being said feel free to contact me, mmy door is always open. As long as we work together we can provide your student with the most sucessful education and enviornment.
