Welcome!

Welcome to Choir! My name is Mrs. Lamberth and I teach Choir at Payne JHS. In Choir, students learn healthy vocal technique, sight-reading skills and learn to sing a variety of choral literature.

My Education and Professional Background

I received my Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City-Conservatory of Music. I have been teaching since 2001. I began my career teaching elementary music in Texas. After two years, I moved to Arizona and began working for the Phoenix Children's Chorus as the Prep Choir Director and the Music Literacy Instructor. I worked for the Phoenix Children's Chorus for four years. In 2008, I began teaching elementary music at CTA-Independence. I taught music and choir at CTA-Independence for seven years. In 2015, I began teaching choir and AVID at Payne JHS. I am certified in Kodaly Level 1 and Orff Level 1. I am also a member of the American Choral Directors Association.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe every child is born a musician. It is my privilege to help students realize and embrace this.
