Dear Parents and Students,

I am so excited to be teaching at Payne Junior High with such an amazing group of teachers.

I am an Arizona Native.  I love the warm weather (maybe not now) and I also like our short winter season.  :)  I was an ice skater growing up and I loved walking into the ice rink at 5 a.m. with the crisp cool air, but that was obviously when I was young. :)  I went to Northern Arizona where I taught ice skating and graduated with both my Undergraduate and a Masters Degree (Educational Leadership).  I think I thought being in Flagstaff was the closest I would get to see the four seasons.

As I said before I am a Lumberjack; however, my favorite college team is Notre Dame then ASU.  I am married to my wonderful husband for 19 years (who is a HUGE HUSKERS fan), and have two incredible boys who like two different colleges.  We are definitely a divided college football house.  My oldest son is a Freshman at ASU and my younger one is a Junior at Perry High School.  Growing up there were only girls in my family but my parents raised us to love sports (I think my dad was a huge influence on that) so I truly love all sports.   I enjoy watching my kids play sports and love to cheer them on.  I can't wait for football season which is my favorite time of the year.  I am a  Bears  fan as my family is from Chicago; however, when I was growing up here, the Arizona Cardinals did not exist yet, so we cheered for Da Bears.  I do love the Diamondbacks, Suns, and of course hockey too, just not a real golf fan. During my "off" time I enjoy going to Disneyland and to the beach.

I am truly looking forward to a wonderful year working with all of you. This year will fly by so please if you have any questions or concerns at any time, please feel free to call or email me.  Here is to the class of 2020.
