About
Khatinha...
Hello and Welcome! I am excited to be a teacher here at Basha High School and I hope you and your student have an amazing year! High school can be challenging, especially high school math. Know that I am always happy to help you, all you need to do is ask!
My Education and Professional Background
It is an honor to introduce myself to you. I am an Algebra 1 and Linear Algebra teacher here at Basha High. I have been teaching math for the past 5 years. I received my undergrad from ASU in education with an emphasis in Math. I recently graduated from GCU with a masters in mathematics.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe every student is capable of learning. It is not about whether a student can or cannot learn, all students can learn, but rather about what motivates the student to learn. I try to challenge my students to think critically and problem solve in different ways. I know I am preparing my students for jobs and problems we do not even understand yet. My goal is that you leave me class with a willingness to try and fail and try again, with critical thinking and problems solving skills that will be applicable to more than just math.
