If you are having concerns with your student's mental health and are in need of resources/support, please email me at email@example.com
Hello students and families! My role as a School Social Worker is to provide support for students and their families as well as providing community resources if needed. Middle school and High school can be an exciting and challenging time for students because of academic social pressures and interpersonal relationships. I want students to feel comfortable to come talk to me whenever there is a need.
My Education and Professional Background
I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology from The University of Central Florida and a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from Arizona State University. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (L.M.S.W.) and I have my School Social Work certification. This is my second year in the school setting.
Support Groups and Individual Meetings
I facilitate support groups each semester that include various topics such as anxiety, depression, grief, enhancing self-confidence, and goal setting. The groups run weekly for 6-8 weeks. In order for students to participate, parental consent is necessary. If a student would like to join a group, please contact me and I will send you the forms needed. If a student would like to meet with me individually, please contact me. I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 480-224-2141. I'm looking forward to a wonderful year with all of you!
