We enjoy celebrating students’ birthdays and other special occasions. Parents are welcome to bring in store bought treats for the classroom to enjoy. In the interest of keeping our daily instruction time flowing smoothly, we ask that you adhere to the following:
- Prior arrangements are to be made with the teacher. He/she will let you know what time of day works best.
- Any treat is welcome as long as it is store bought. No homemade treats. We realize parents may wish to bring home-baked treated to school. However, due to a number of issues, such as food allergies etc., serving home baked foods is prohibited by our district.
- Please refrain from bringing in other celebration items i.e. confetti, balloons, gifts, flowers. Students are not permitted to have balloons in the classroom or on the bus.

At PJHS, we want all of our students to be successful. To achieve this, we place all student on an academic "team". Students on teams will have the same core teachers (Science, Math, Social Studies, and Language Arts). Teams help teachers focus on student achievements, provide common expectations, and increases parent communication. Students go to different electives based upon their requests.
