I am excited to be able to share the fun of discovering science and chemistry with the students at Basha! I enjoyed this process of discovery throughout my 31 year career at Arizona State University (ASU). During this time I earned my M.S. and PhD degrees in Chemistry, directed the Goldwater Materials Science Laboratories, and led the ASU Carbon Sequestration Program, which is exploring avenues to combat global climate change. I also co-founded, directed and taught Science is Fun at Arizona State University. I supervised the training of and trained undergraduate and high school interns who presented fun and exciting science explorations to K-12 students across central Arizona. In the process, I developed a passion to bring the excitement and fun of science and chemistry to the high school classroom. I have had a blast in my first nine years teaching at Basha and look forward to many more fun and exciting years!
