Keep up to date with your child's grades by signing up for and viewing grades/assignments on Infinite Campus:
Basic Definitions of Science: If it’s green or wiggles, it’s biology, If it stinks, it’s chemistry, If it doesn’t work, it’s physics. Welcome back, Stormers! I am excited to be a part of the Santan team and to be teaching 8th grade science. I look forward to meeting your child and doing my best to ensure they have a safe and motivating year in science.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. My teaching career began at Basha High School where I taught Biology, Investigative Science & Human Biology. At Basha, I also coached soccer and freshman basketball & was the LINK crew sponsor. After several years, I decided to go back to school full time. I attended the University of Utah & earned a Master of Science degree from University of Utah. While working as a health professional I realized that I miss teaching and inspiring young minds (plus I'm an Arizona girl and wanted to come back home). I am thrilled to be here at Santan.
My Educational Philosophy
I am a life long learner!! Teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my goals as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I will always strive to be the best educator that I can be.
